Not exactly...: respiratory therapists go through their own training and have to be licensed to do what they do. Nurses are able to do some of the basic respiratory therapy duties like auctioning a patient through an airway, giving metered dose inhalers, etc. but there are some respiratory responsibilities that nurses are not trained to do.
