It does sound: like infection.You will need to be seen and prescribed appropriate antibiotics.R u up to date on Tetanus.Booster required every 10 years.TDap is now recommended.Good luck.

SOUND LIKE IT: Increased pain, redness, swelling, fever are all signs of infection. Sounds like one is developing; see a podiatrist ASAP, especially if you're diabetic. Sincerely, Dr. Latva
