Many possibilities: There are many things that can cause a woman to skip periods. Obviously pregnancy is the most common but thyroid disease, diabetes/insulin resistance, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pituitary tumors, adrenal disorders, stress, exercise, diet, and medications can all cause this. To know for sure what is going on requires a full history, exam, and appropriate testing. Hope this helps.
