QID: The dentist probably wrote qid on your prescription for how you are to take the capsules. The is latin shorthand for 4 times a day. Usually people will take the medication with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and at bedtime.

With meals: I prefer to start with 2 tablets immediately to get a larger dose in the bloodstream, and then 2 more during the course of the first day. On following days, take 1 pill at breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime to get 4 per day.
