No: Hi. No, no hormonal abnormalities (deficiencies or excesses) cause lymph nodes to swell and become tender. Lymph node enlargement may be caused by an infection in the lymphatic field that drains to that node, by metastatic cancer or lymphoma, by granulomatous diseases, etc. If the lymph node goes back to normal, you're fine. If it persists more than a few months, see your doc. Good luck!
