A member asked:

Would a light 2 day "period" count as missed period or too early to take a pregnancy test?

Depends: A light period would not count as missed period. However, if you are concerned, you may do a pregnancy test 4-5 days after the "period". Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.

If unsure take HPT.: The main reason for light periods is a change in hormone levels. Causes for what seems to be a light period can include: implantation bleeding in early pregnancy, thyroid problems, eating disorders, excessive exercise, initial periods for a girl, use of an intrauterine device, oral contraceptives & perimenopause.
