Nipple eczema: It sounds like you are describing nipple eczema. Nipple eczema is very itchy and tends to flare in the winter. Try quick showers, lukewarm water, fragrance avoidance, and use body cream instead of lotion. You can use a mild hydrocortisone twice per day as needed to calm the itching and flaking.
