Ok in moderation: Let the Ob gyn know that your wife had to use the glycerin suppository and that you had trouble communicating with the office. Next review your wife's dietary habits. Increase to 30 grams of fiber a day, plenty of water. Prunes or Prune jucie cans once per night work like a charm.

Yes: Glycerin suppository is a safe method for treating constipation during pregnancy. If these do not work, continue to try to contact the OB/GYN. In general, it is important to drink plenty of fluids (lots of water) and eat a diet high in fruits and fiber to prevent constipation.
