A member asked:

I was told i have trace hpv, can i still get pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not a problem: A reasonable unasked question is how this might effect a pregnancy/newborn. For most it means nothing. The worrisome HPV strains associated with cancer are not known to pass to the baby or cause them problem.Genital wart strains can pass to baby if you are shedding virus during delivery. Genital or vocal cord warts can arise in the baby within the first 2 years or so after birth.
