Depends: There are several definitions of "safe sex". Using condoms, birth control pills, "pull out before he comes" & a couple others. I would suggest the you do 3 over the counter pregnancy tests a week apart. If the heavy bleeding lasts another 24 hours then don't wait, and get to see your OB/GYN right away.
