Phlebitis: It is not uncommon to get inflammation in your veins after an injection of intravenous contrast fluid. Usual initial treatment is warm compresses. if it worsens, spreads up the arm, turns red, if any fever or swelling develops, please see your doctor for a re-evaluation.
