What are the difference between emboli, plaque, and thrombi?

Vascular lesions: Plaque is cholesterol deposits in the wall of an artery. Thrombus (plural is thrombi) is a blood clot. Embolus (plural is emboli) is a piece of solid material moving through the bloodstream. It can consist of thrombus, fat, plaque, or foreign objects.

Plaque/thrombi/embol: Plaque is deposits along the inside of the blood vessels. Thrombi is the development of blood clot in the blood vessels mostly at the sites of the plaque. When part of the thrombi breaks and dislodges and goes to a different part of the body is called emboli.
