I can smell smoke all the time and feel like it's in my chest yet i don't smoke and i'm not around people who do.

Smoke: Two thoughts. One, could be problem with your sense of smell. Zinc deficiency could cause that or perhaps some type of allergic problem. Second possibility is you have developed this "sensation".

See below: Phantosmia refers to the perception of an odor when there’s no actual odorant present. The most common cause is underlying nasal or sinus disease or oral disease. It can also be a side effect of medication. Temporal lobe epilepsy can cause olfactory hallucinations that are vaguely described.
