Possibly not HIV: Try having your sores evaluated by your dentist if they have not resolved with 2 weeks. If you can take photos with your phone, it may help in the diagnosis. But in the meantime, go in for the dental exam and also get a physical from your primary care physician. If the sores don't resolve in 2 weeks, consider a tissue biopsy to get a definitive answer.
