Over the counter: Drink more water. Eat more fiber. Over the counter medications like Miralax, (polyethylene glycol) Milk of magnesia, Magnesium citrate and even an enema are a few popular options.

OTC Metamucil + H20: Dehydration is the single most important contributing factor to constipation in pregnancy-iron supplements are #2. Dietary fiber, when combined with adequate water is the safest and most effective way of reversing constipation. A simple walking program and ensuring uninterrupted bathroom time is another. If you enjoy high fiber foods be sure to include them!
