Constipation: Prune juice, colace, fiber supplements like fibercon and metamucil, dulcolax and small amounts of milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) are fine.

Fiber and water. : The chronic treatment of constipation should always begin with fiber and water. That's 50 grams of fiber daily for a woman (70 grams for a man) divided across four or five ingestions at least (meals and snacks). And with this, drink enough water in the day to make your urine appear almost clear. That should help your bowel movements. Keep it simple when you're pregnant.
