TMJ: Unilateral crepitations in region proximal mandible w. chewing raises concern for Temporomandibular Disorder, oft called TMJ, "j" for joint. I have often seen in persons w. chronic head tilt, who develop crossed muscle syndrome, uppermost hypertrophic & hyperdynamic & lower deconditioned, in masseter muscles. Your photo suggests left sided disorder in rightward tilted head. See a TMJ specialist.
