Maybe : I'd suggest that you repeat the test in 3-5 days. It could be that this is simply a very early pregnancy and the spotting is not significant in which case the HCG will have risen enough that the test will be more strongly positive. The other possibility is a false positive test or a very early miscarriage. Hope this helps.
