The Gall of it All: High fat consumption after gallbladder surgery shouldn't be a major issue, however bile excreted directly into the intestine on a regular basis, now that the gallbladder is missing, is sometimes the cause of bloating, cramping and diarrhea in some. There is an adjustment period to this change in overall function but if it persists despite your dietary intake seek evaluation with your surgeon
