Ketoconazole: I suggest that you try to find ketoconazole shampoo (nizoral AD shampoo in US). It is good for dandruff and painful, itchy scalp. Ketoconazole is an antifungal but it also has antiinflammatory properties that are very helpful when you have pain at the hair roots.
