See you gynecologist: you sound like a very conscientious young woman. The pill works by suppressing ovulation and causes uterine lining to build up and shed, without chance of pregnancy>99%. However you could have a cyst on your ovary or a pelvic infection causing this bleeding. Please see your gynecologist for full exam and tests to evaluate for infection, cysts or remote chance of pregnancy
