No: Most women do not notice the vaginal discharge changes that can be associated with ovulation. Most women do not have the pain (Mittelschmerz) that can accompany ovulation. And most women do not have the spotting that can occur as a result of ovulation. A reliable sign that a woman does ovulate is her menses - that always comes 14 days after ovulation - unless she conceives.

Not necessarily...: It is possible for some women to not have SYMPTOMS (meaning a physical manifestation felt by the patient) during ovulation (the time at which an ovary discharges an egg). But, SIGNS (measurable or detectable physical clues) generally always occur--such as the spike upward in your base body temperature 0.4 to 1.0 degrees Fahrenheit 2-3 days before ovulation and changes in your cervical mucus.
