Been on 8 30 mg of roxycodone per day for last several years. seeing my primary dr today .should i ask him to wean me off of these. he doesn't know .

Roxi: Pcp is not an addictionologist and most likely refuse. U should go to the provider prescribing the short acting high dose oxycodone hopefully for some physical reason. This will be a difficult undertaking but a proper pain management person could substitute long acting pain med for a legitimate reason

I admire your idea: I think you're right to want to try this and I hope it goes reasonably easily. Even if there are difficult times, I hope you can find non-narcotic surces of support - they exist. I can't overstate my admiration and best wishes. Goiod luck!
