Yes: Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) is a muscle relaxant. Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine. Both can cause drowsiness or sedation so caution is necessary. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

Careful: The combination of these 2 meds can increase depression of your central nervous system. Most likely you will experience significant drowsiness if taken at the same time. Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) (cyclobenzaprine) can be taken every 8 hours and hydoxyzine (vistaril, atarax) can be taken every 4-6 hours. As with all medicines, be careful when combining and consult your pharmacist or prescribing physician.
