Not Necessarily: Not necessarily. A lot of physicians like to bring the patient back to discuss results in person in order to make sure the patient fully understand what the results mean. I am assuming that you meant that you had a colposcopy done to evaluate an abnormal pap. I would not make any assumptions that anything is wrong. Even if something was found, it doesn't mean it's life threatening.
