A member asked:

Got 4th generation test 50 days or 7 weeks after protected vaginal sex and the test came up negative. should i consider the results conclusive? my stomach has been hurting bad since the interaction . could it turn positive when i go get tested again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Negative 4th generation test at six weeks or greater is conclusive that you are negative. The need to repeat it would be if you were exposed again, please take safe sex precautions.
