Kind of embarrassing but, i have been drinking dark chocolate atkins shakes lately. my stool is very dark now. could that be the reason?

Not sure: usually chocolate does not cause dark stools. If the stools are black, particularly if they are foul-smelling, you should be checked out to see if you are having internal bleeding. Otherwise, I would stop the Atkins drinks and see if your stools return to normal. Good luck.
