Variable menopause: Menopause occurs at variable ages from 43 to 55 normally. If you are still having regular periods then unfortunately, menopause has not yet occurred. If you are skipping periods, a GYN MD can do a FSH blood test and determine if you are close to that "magical" period cessation time. Genetically, some women have a later menopause then others.
