Not anymore: Although your child is not exposed to the virus any more since not around the father now, the baby was exposed when the dad did not show symptoms of the chickenpox yet.

Start counting: The baby was exposed if it was around the day before he broke out. If so, expect baby & yourself to break out 10-21 days from that point. The disease is not as bad for a 7 mo as it usually is for adults, but plan for the appearance of the rash & contact your doc.
