Tetrabenezine: is used for the hyperkinetic movements associated with Huntington's Disease. It is typically used long term. I will usually get a 12 lead EKG on my patients (can cause QT prolongation) Also I monitor the patient for development of depression. Do not take with MAO inhibitors. I often check a 2DP level for evidence of abnormal rate of liver metabolism. www.healthtap.com/drericweisman
