Stuttering children: I think this may be a normal part of your child's development at this age. But, your pediatrician should be made aware of your concerns and then appropriate referral for evaluation and even treatment with a pediatric speech therapist may be the next best option.

Non-fluency is seen: In typically-developing tots age 2-5. Stuttering that starts < 3 usually is outgrown in ~ 6 mos. Have a speech/language therapist test for articulation errors (her speech should be 75% intelligible to strangers) & for receptive/expressive language delays. Call your school district's child find team to assess eligibility for free speech/language therapy thru early childhood special education.
