Cavities/infection: the sweet sour taste with alcohol may be triggered pain in the jaw arising from cavity or cavities that got too deep close to the nerve,or and inflamed gums that got more irritated, examination needed to determine the cause and treat it.

Unclear: Unclear. Unlikely due to cavity since bilateral I assume pain has resolved If so, don't worry about it. If pain is lingering, see an oral surgeon for assessment.

See dentist first: Make an appointment with your dentist for a complete evaluation for both caries and periodontal issues. It may be as simple as a restoration needs to be replaced or it may be non dental in nature. Check with the dentist first .

Stress related: Many of the patients doctors see for intense jaw pain, are actually expressing psychological distress- anxiaty through physical pain. See your PCP for consultation and your doctor may schedule a follow-up appointment or refer you to a specialist to determine a diagnosis.
