A member asked:

Got bloodwork back acth is .3 and my cortisol is .5 is that normal and if not what could it mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

More info, please: Hi. In the units we normally use, those would be low. What is your doc testing them for? Were they drawn the morning after taking a dexamethasone pill? If so, I'd say you suppressed normally. If it wasn't dex suppression test, you may be adrenally insufficient; if so, it would look like a pituitary origin. Provocative testing would be required to confirm, such as insulin tolerance testing.
