Have it seen: I think you are thinking of possible gout. It is a possibility. Gout can happen with normal or high uric acid, but even if the uric acid is high, you may not develop gout. Gout is usually red and hot, but so can a joint infection or a stress injury. If there is a lot of fluid, tapping the joint and draining the fluid really helps, so have it seen.

A few things: You could still have gout, as blood uric acid levels do not always reflect the presence or intensity of an attack. You might need to see a podiatrist, orthopedist, or rheumatologist to diagnose and treat this. Getting fluid out of the ankle joint and examining it under a microscope can firmly diagnose if you have gout or not.
