Bleeding common: Its common to have a lot of bleeding after a Mirena (levonorgestrel) is removed. Its something I always tell women to expect. It doesn't surprise me that Primulot hasn't helped. The active ingredient in Mirena (levonorgestrel) is a type of Progesterone. When it is removed, your Progesterone levels drop. This is a signal for your uterus to bleed. It usually goes away on its own. Best wishes!
