A member asked:

I recently developed a series of symptoms: lower back pain, eye inflammation, skin hives, etc. test hla-b27 postive. do i have ankylosing spondylitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The signs and: symptoms you describe would lead one to place Ankylosing Spondylitis at the top of the differential diagnosis list. Be sure to follow with your Ophthalmologist for your iritis and with your Rheumatologist for the evaluation of the HLA-B27 results. There are other disease that can have the same constellation you are describing and rarely two processes can be occurring simultaneously.
