A member asked:

My husband went to the shooting range and then held our baby before changing clothes. will the gunpowder harm the baby? is it poisonous to ingest?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: The gunpowder discharge on your husbands clothing would likely be minor in nature. So I don't believe your baby will be harmed by his/her minor exposure to the gunpower. But at the same time I would not be allowing your baby to teeth on a shell :) I do believe that it would be advisable for your husband to change his clothing to prevent any sort of long term exposure.
