No: Swallowing a small amount of salt water will not harm anyone. Unless you have some already diagnosed kidney problem, your body has an excellent mechanism for regulating the amount of salt in your body.

You're fine: it won't harm the baby. If you swallow a large amount of salt what happens is that you vomit. The fact that you didn't says it wasn't a large amount. In the U.S. we get tons of salt in our diet daily. The bit of extra you got in while gargling isn't harmful.
