Reflux esopahgitis: Reflux esophagitis (re) is a common condition due to the sphincter at the base of the esophagus (e) not able to keep gastric contents from refluxing up the e. Usually it present as heartburn after meals or made worse by lying down in bed. Symtoms of e also are a cough which is dry when in bed. For a diagnosis, see a GI doctor and have an endoscopy. If ire is found, use protein pump inhibitor.
