Eat less & exercise: The key to losing weight is not a temporary diet but permanent changes. Sugars & simple carbs from grains esp. cause weight gain. I like Dr. Furhman's diet: http://www.drfuhrman.com/library/what-is-a-nutritarian-diet.aspx Dr. Weil has useful info: www.huffingtonpost.com/andrew-weil-md/carbohydrates-weight-loss_b_1937312.html- see his "discuss that" link in his article. Exercise is also important!

Reduce weight: This is a repeat of what I have said before. My philosophy is that the best way to lose weight is not by dieting, but by changing your lifestyle to a healthier one. You don't need a drastic diet. Make small changes. Eat the right portions, eat 3-5 small meals a day, cut back on carbs and sugars, increase lean protein/veggie/fruit/water intake, and start doing some cardiovascular exercise.
