Could be many things: Go to your doctor, get a history and physical. Make sure they check vitamin D, thyroid function, blood count, vitamin B12, magnesium, sedimentation rate (sign of inflammation). Those things can all cause widespread pain. If you don't sleep well, or have high stress, anxiety, depression, that can cause widespread pain, too. Sometimes its not clear what comes first, poor sleep or pain.

Gabapentin: Gabapentin is a great sleep-enhancer, that improves all four phases of sleep, and you will wake up feeling refreshed. I usually start patients with 600 mg at bedtime--and titrate the dose up to what allows for a sound, restful sleep. Rarely, some have needed as much as 2400 mg. It's not a pain pill--but it does relieve nerve pain. Why do your bones ache? Need more information.
