Toxoplasmosis: Toxoplasmosis's primary hosts are cats. Humans become infected by eating infected meat (primarily pork), ingesting soil/water that has been contaminated by animal fecal matter. It is most commonly spread in the feces of household cats. Transmission to the fetus during pregnancy is very hazardous to the fetus which is why pregnant women are discouraged from cleaning litter boxes while preg.
