Reduce qty / thicken: Mild spit up is very common. It sounds as if you baby may be eating too much at each feed or have mild reflux. Try reducing the quantity in the bottle. If she still spits a lot try thickening the formula with baby cereal or purchasing a pre-thickened formula. If your baby is coughing with the spit up or seems fussy see your doctor. Always inform your doctor if you thicken her feeds.

Maybe nothing...: Did you have a baby shower? Did people buy you burp cloths and bibs? Why? Answer... Because babies spit up. All babies spit up. If i handed u my baby to burp, you would put a burp cloth down. Now, everyone thinks spitting up is horrible and reflux is one of the most over diagnosed pediatric problems. Unless baby is in pain every spit up or not gaining weight well, or very projectile it's normal.

Spits up: How long does it take for your baby to finish 4 ounces.. If its less than 20-30 minutes he is consuming the milk too rapidly and as a result he is spitting up. You may want to slow him down by getting a nipple with a smaller hole and that way he wont be swallowing so much air and spitting up so much.
