Chest pains: Regardless, could be only muscle pain or GI problems, pain in your chest is a serious medical condition. It is always a red flag and appointment with your PCP for re-evaluation or a cardiologist is warranted. Take care.

Heartburn: A burning sensation in the stomach associated with mid-chest pain and an acid taste in mouth may indicate GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), which is commonly called heartburn. Diet changes, such as avoiding spicy foods, are important. Zantac (ranitidine) is a frequently used over the counter medication that may also help these symptoms.
