Studies show that: Viewing tv/videos actually delays language development in kids < 2 years old, so the american academy of pediatrics recommends no viewing till 2, then a maximum of 2 hours/day screen time & no tv/electronics in a child's bedroom. Parental reciprocal social interaction & communication are vital. Read, play, talk & interact with children even if you choose to use electronic "learning " programs.

No: Babies interact and learn best when they interact with their parents and other people around them. Not multiple media. Involve your baby in your daily activities, keep him around people. Read and sing to him. Take him outside, let him explore with different textures, shapes and colors, encourage explorative behavior. Nothing substitutes the parents!
