Several things: But common things occur commonly. The 1st 2 that come to mind are constipation & diverticulitis. Colon tumors are also possible and can be checked by a colonoscopy. Also , even just excess bowel gas, Chron's is possible but usually with loose stools. Especially important if you have a family history of colon disease to have a scope. Are your stools normal. Any fever or weight loss?
