A member asked:

Is celebrex (celecoxib) safer than aleve?

it depends: Celebrex (celecoxib) has less GI risk. It is controversial whether there is an increased cardiac risk with celebrex (celecoxib). Any risk is small.

yes: Less GI damage, especially in people over age 51. Cardiac risk has been controversial - possibly noted if 200 mg taken twice a day, but not if 400 mg taken once a day.
