Sinusitis: It is no longer commonly acceptable to use antibiotics for acute sinusitis. A combination of nasal saline irrigation with a Neti-pot, nasal steroid spray, decongestants (pseudoephedrine or oxymetozaline), and anti-allergy meds or desensitization if allergy is an expected source of the sinus inflammation. If it lasts longer than 10-12 weeks this is chronic and needs a good ENT doctor to evaluate.

Yes, there are tips!: Great question! I see you use Nasonex, (mometasone) & suggest you take a break from that for a week every 2-3 months. Periodic drug holidays from nasal sprays can help prevent bacterial infection and nosebleeds. Currently, try using plain saline spray and sterile saline nasal irrigation from a drug store. Inhaling steam in the shower or a steam room loosens secretions too. Stay hydrated. Clearing mucus is key.
