Let's get serious: Coal tar and salicylic acid are two different medications. If it's not working, it's time to explore possibly adding a Rx, or reviewing the diagnosis. Read up on seborrheic dermatitis and so forth -- an antifungal may be the next step, or it might be one of the less common illnesses.
