I just went on a ski trip for the whole day, in the middle of my chest it started burning, probably is my lungs. why am i feeling this and what can i do to make the burning stop?

?Hard to say: Not all chest pain is life threatening but if you having persistent central chest pain , its best to see a doctor immediately at an urgent care or emergency room to rule out causes. This way we can ask more questions, examine, and decide what testing if any is appropriate. Good luck.

See below: Air needs to be warmed to body temperature as it passes thru the nasal cavity and then humidified to 100% humidity by cells in the trachea that add water. Very cold air is low in humidity causing the cells to dehydrate causing discomfort.
